They're so incredibly predictable that it's boring. The clumsy adventurer, the musician who is "secretly" an elf, the adorable but nerdy kid, and a fisherman who is totally not a monster. In Rune Factory all characters can be directly linked to a page from TV-Tropes. So what? The farming itself has more variety, the farm is much more customisable, and the villagers, while they only have so much dialogue - an amount that can't compare with Rune Factory's NPC's, to be honest - really have their own personality. Yes, the mines are not that impressive, and there are only about 60 different things you can catch - excluding trash. Stardew Valley is quite different in that aspect. After that, perhaps you may want to make all of the items, and get all villagers to their maximum affection, but that's it. You see, the only reason you keep playing is to advance the story. Stardew Valley may lack depth in some areas, but Rune Factory lacks meaning. Buy it for Console: PS4, Switch, Xbox One.Mark spoilers like this: >!Text here is hidden!<.
